Community GP Connect is an online GP clinic for teenagers and adolescents , aged 13-25. It was established primarily to provide better access for young people struggling with moods or anxiety or for anyone who just needs to talk.
Connect was established in 2020, in the peak of the COVID-19 crisis, when society was in lockdown. Let’s be honest, young people have been hit hard by this pandemic. Their entire world has been turned upside down and they have been thrown into a whole new way of life, learning and socialising. Our young people are suffering and we need to help them.
Connect is our way of connecting with you; to talk with you if you’re struggling or if you need to unload and to offer you support. You are not alone. (And no, it does not have to be COVID-19 related – it’s just what inspired us to start this program).
Connect is like visiting your GP 2.0! You can chat face-to-face with our GPs using your mobile phone, tablet or computer (similar to Facetime). This means you can access our services anywhere, whenever you need. You do not even need to leave your home or change out of your PJs but… we prefer you do.
Connect is bulk-billed, so it’s free! All you need is a Medicare card and a mobile phone.
*Please note our GPs are based in Adelaide SA, so all appointment times are in Australian Central Standard Time (ACST)
